Wayru Network Partners with Telecu to Expand Decentralized Internet Coverage in Ecuador

Telecu Becomes Official Deployer in Ecuador

Wayru Network is thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with Telecu, a renowned internet service provider (ISP) in Ecuador. This alliance represents a significant step towards expanding internet coverage and access across the region.

Strategic Partnership for Enhanced Connectivity

In its mission to bring connectivity to every corner of the world, Wayru Network has joined forces with Telecu. This collaboration will enable the deployment of Wayru Hotspots in locations where Telecu currently offers internet services. By transforming these points into active nodes within the Wayru Network, the partnership aims to provide high-quality, reliable connectivity.

Deployment of Wayru Miners

Telecu will strategically install Wayru Miners in high-traffic locations such as shopping centers, restaurants, and gyms. These sites will serve as enterprise-level hosts, enhancing connectivity for users. Additionally, Telecu will utilize WayruOS protocols to establish a secondary network over their public hotspots, efficiently expanding coverage by leveraging existing infrastructure.

Implementation of OpenRoaming and WBA Protocols

One of the standout features of this collaboration is the implementation of OpenRoaming and Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) protocols. These protocols ensure seamless and secure WiFi connectivity across various hotspots. With OpenRoaming, users can move between different Wayru Hotspots without the need to re-authenticate, providing a truly uninterrupted internet experience. Integrating WBA standards guarantees the highest levels of security, reliability, and interoperability within the network.

Impact on Ecuador’s Telecommunications Ecosystem

The partnership between Wayru and Telecu represents not only geographic expansion but also a significant advancement in Ecuador’s telecommunications ecosystem. The implementation of a decentralized network and integration of blockchain technology will set new connectivity standards in the country.

Final Thoughts

Wayru Network is actively seeking more deployers worldwide who are interested in deploying Wayru Hotspots or converting their existing networks into Wayru Hotspots. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements from the Wayru Foundation about the support and opportunities available.
