CESS Network Weekly Update: Major Improvements and Exciting Partnerships
Weekly Highlights
The CESS Network has made significant progress this week, enhancing several key modules and fixing critical issues. The CESS Node Territory Module saw improvements, resolving the issue of file uploads after territory expiration and addressing code warnings and invalid logs. Additionally, DeOSS experienced performance boosts with fixes to slow file download speeds and instability in pushing user file fragments to storage nodes. DeShare also received upgrades, including support for file link previews and corrections to file upload failures and user prompts. CESS’s active participation in community events, including an AMA with DigiFinex Global and a campaign with PEPE Miner Bot on TON, further highlights its commitment to growth and user engagement. The network also celebrated a new partnership with BITTON, a notable blockchain gaming company.
Project Development Details
The CESS testnet, updated to v0.7.6, now includes a consensus node and a storage node. The consensus node, responsible for maintaining the network's world state and acting as the data authentication station, saw improvements with fixes to the territory module and completion of TEE Worker DCAP remote certification tests.
Storage Node [v0.7.10]
The storage node update, v0.7.10, addressed penalties for failing to submit storage proofs. CESS’s decentralized storage and CD²N infrastructure continues to evolve, driving global node deployment through its DePIN model. DeOSS and DeShare have significantly contributed to the network's ecosystem, enhancing storage and sharing capabilities.
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
Recent updates to DeOSS fixed issues related to pushing user file fragments to storage nodes and improving download speeds by resolving a caching module failure. These enhancements ensure a more reliable and efficient decentralized storage service for users.
Online File Sharing Tool (DeShare)
DeShare now supports file link previews, allowing users to view basic file details without clicking links. Fixes to file upload failures and inaccurate user prompts enhance the user experience, making DeShare a robust tool for online file sharing.
CESS Website (cess.cloud)
The development of front-end and back-end services for the Merkle Event on the CESS official website is now complete, further enriching the user experience and engagement on the platform.
Testnet Overview
172 days after the v0.7.6 testnet launch, the CESS network boasts 28 consensus nodes, 9,009 storage nodes, 22.82 PiB of verified storage space, and 29.96 PiB of total storage space. The ongoing miner reward event incentivizes storage and consensus miners, encouraging active participation and growth.
Community Activities
CESS’s participation in the DigiFinex Global AMA, titled “DigiTalk EP9 — A Dive into DePin,” featured insights from industry experts. The network also hosted a campaign with PEPE Miner Bot, promoting the use of CESS’s blockchain storage for sharing life's moments. The partnership with BITTON, a rapidly growing blockchain gaming company, marks a significant milestone in CESS’s journey to revolutionize the Web3 data economy.
Final Thoughts
The recent developments and partnerships highlight CESS Network’s commitment to enhancing its infrastructure and expanding its ecosystem. The continuous improvements and active community engagement are set to drive the network’s growth and success in the Web3 space. As CESS continues to innovate, it promises to deliver fast, secure, and privacy-protected storage solutions for users worldwide.
