Distributed GPU Cloud Infrastructure for Gaming & AI
About the Project
Aethir is revolutionizing the cloud computing landscape by addressing the critical GPU shortage affecting industries reliant on high-performance computing, such as AI, gaming, and IoT. With the exponential growth of AI advancements and the linear progression of GPU chipset developments, there is an urgent need for innovative solutions to bridge this gap. Aethir steps in by aggregating and intelligently redistributing both new and idle GPUs from enterprises, data centers, cryptocurrency mining operations, and consumers, effectively increasing global GPU compute availability by over tenfold.
By leveraging underutilized GPU capacity—estimated to range from 50-75% in US data centers—Aethir's decentralized cloud infrastructure platform creates a robust, scalable framework for sharing computational resources. This decentralized ownership model transcends traditional structures, democratizing access to advanced computational power and fostering a more equitable and open technological landscape. Aethir's platform seamlessly integrates disparate GPU clusters into a unified network, enhancing reliability, reducing costs, and improving infrastructure resilience. This approach not only mitigates the current GPU scarcity but also paves the way for sustained economic and technological growth across multiple industries, positioning Aethir at the forefront of the global GPU cloud economy.
Use Case
Advancements in real-time AI computations are setting a new standard for interactive AI by significantly accelerating processing and analysis tasks. This leap forward ensures latency-free inference, enabling AI systems to deliver instant, seamless responses without any delay. In voice interactions, AI systems are now more natural and responsive, enhancing the overall communication experience. Visual interactions with AI have also improved, becoming more intuitive and efficient, thereby enriching user engagement.
In the realm of gaming, cloud technology is revolutionizing accessibility. Players can now enjoy games on various devices, including mobiles, Smart TVs, or PCs, with just a single click. The process of porting games across different platforms has been simplified through cloud-based solutions, making it easier for developers to reach broader audiences. Early game testing in the cloud facilitates comprehensive feedback and improvements, ensuring higher quality releases. By offering cross-platform experiences, gaming becomes seamless across different devices and platforms. Furthermore, exploring alternate publishing channels allows for reaching new and diverse audiences, expanding the game's reach and potential success.
Tokenomics
Aethir, symbolized as $ATH, is the native token of the Aethir ecosystem deployed on the Arbitrum network with a total supply of 42,000,000,000 tokens. The token's primary role is to facilitate transactions for AI applications, cloud compute, and virtualized compute services within Aethir. Beyond this, ATH will be integrated into merge mining and marketplaces, broadening its utility. Token holders have governance rights, enabling them to propose, discuss, and vote on platform changes. Node operators must stake ATH tokens to ensure economic alignment and collateral against misconduct, with incentives and token rewards provided for supplying computing power and completing tasks. Compute Providers are rewarded for readiness to offer services, promoting active participation even when not engaged in tasks. A substantial portion of ATH is allocated to mining rewards to ensure ecosystem longevity. The emission strategy includes a decay function to balance resource provider onboarding, with detailed plans for emissions and decay to be released for transparency and strategic planning. The Token Generation Event date and contract address are yet to be determined.
